GRECS collaborates in the creation of Indika, the social and health observatory for Alt Empordà

The Fundació Salut Empordà (FSE) has led an initiative to obtain a photograph of the health and social problems in Alt Empordà. This is Indika (www.indikasalut.cat), an initiative in the key of an observatory that aims to generate standardized regional information with the purpose of knowing in depth the Alt Empordà region, as well as its particular problems. Indika was born after detecting the lack of local data that allow making strategic decisions.

The project has the collaboration of the University of Girona through the Research Group in Econometrics and Health (GRECS), the City Council of Figueres and the Regional Council of Alt Empordà. It has the support of the European Regional Development Fund ERDF within the framework of the project "Girona, healthy region" (European Project for Territorial Collaboration, PECT), in which the Girona Provincial Council, the Dipsalut and the IdIbGi also participate.
